Student Recognition

In life, we look for visionary LEADERS--people who inspire us to be better than we even think we can be!  Master Koster is such an individual.  Latch on to his spirit, learn from him, emulate him, and then become another visionary leader.  In so doing, you guarantee the education and discipline of future generations.  Indeed you rather become "immortal".

Vicki Peterson Jenks, Director of the WYSO Percussion Ensemble, Madison, Wi. (Feb 2010)

All of our students are of equal importance to us and on these pages we are going to randomly profile students in four different categories.

  1. Novice Profile, (White/Gold/Orange Belts)
  2. Intermediate Profile,(Green to Blue Belts)
  3. Black Belt, (Black Belts)

We want all our students to exemplify the characteristics outline below.  However, it should be understood that no individual is perfect.  Each of us work on characteristics to be the best well-rounded person that we can be.

Academics:  At school each day we try our best in each subject area.

Attendance:  We will strive for perfect school/work attendance and work to attend at least two classes a week at Karate America

Attitude: We strive to always have a positive attitude at all times.

Behavior: Be on our best behavior in all environments (structured and non-structured)

Cooperation: Strive to be a good team player with peers, adults, teachers, leaders, etc.

Respect:  Always show respect to others.  Good manners should always be demonstrated.

Responsibility:  We are responsible for our own actions and will be accountable for our actions.

Again, we will randomly select a new student in each category every few months.  The above are guidelines that each of us work to follow each day, whether we are in a classroom setting or the work environment.   Keep returning to our pages to learn more about your martial arts peers.
