UNITED WAY
OF
DANE COUNTY

COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER AWARDS

Master Bill Koster was recognized on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the The Madison Concourse Hotel & Governor's Club as a nominee of the United Way of Dane County Community Volunteer Awards.

Event was lead by Kim Sveum of Channel 27 and special guest speaker was WI First Lady Jessica Doyle.

Individuals were nominated that gave their time and talent to better our community.  It was noted that "at times like this, their dedication is even more critical to our quality of life in Dane County."

Master Koster was nominated for the time he gives to residents of Sun Prairie and Dane County.  The scholarship program created to provide personal safety and fitness classes to individuals with barriers that would prevent them from participating.  More so he was recognized for volunteering his time to provide FREE classes to school programs, YMCA, Scouts, Sun Prairie Community Events, Daycares, 4-H clubs, etc.

Karate America Sun Prairie has been formally recognized by the Public Health Department of Madison and Dane County, Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin and Dane County Dairy Promotion for our efforts to provide kids with exercise opportunities.
