Karate America has some very interesting family members and students in our school that are outstanding leaders, citizens and students outside of our school as well.  We are proud to share with you some of these individuals of interest.

RHONDA HAZEN - Student

JULIA ZIRBES - Sister of Anna

Julia will be presented with an Achievement Plus Award for going above and beyond in volunteering her time, energy, and leadership at Wyndham Hills Park during the 2nd Annual Park Crawl.  She will receive her award from the Sun Prairie School Board during their November 23rd meeting at 7:30 p.m.  CONGRATS JULIA.

GORDON SHEA - Father of Aiden

Mr. Shea is a candidate for the Dane County Board (non-partisan office) in District 20 which roughly includes SP families east of Bird Street as well as areas such as Bristol.  State Representative Gary Hebl was on hand October 24th to kick off Gordans campaign as well as Sun Prairie Mayor Joe Chase. We wish Mr. Shea the best of luck in his endeavor for public office.  LEFT:  Mr. Shea volunteering during the Food & Wine Show for the Teen Safe Ride Program which is a venturing program of the Boy Scouts of America.

SCOTT DONOVAN - KA Black Belt

Mr. Donovan has been progressively working towards his Eagle Scout project for the Boy Scouts of America.  Eagle Scout is the highest honor a Boy Scout can achieve.  A couple more merit awards and by Summer 2010 we hope to see Mr. Donovan achieve this goal

LUISA MEYER - Sister of Scott

Summer 2009 Ms. Meyer was accepted in the Summer Research Opportunity Program for undergraduates with the Molecular and Environmental Toxicology Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Luisa is 16 yrs old and is a senior in Biomedical Engineering at UW-Madison.
