SENIOR INSTRUCTOR
I'm Ms. Krauser and I started classes at Karate America Sun Prairie (KASP) in 1995 at the age of 55. I am currently a 3rd degree black belt.
Why I Started
It was and is the best life changing activity I could ever be part of. It’s a sport for youth and adults alike, where you are challenged to go beyond your best.
I'm Still Here Because . . .
I am still at Karate America because I can’t imagine not. Continually training in mind and body fitness, safety defense, and to be in an atmosphere of building friendships, this is a place I call my second home.
Hobbies/Interestes
I enjoy doing for others. My husband and I volunteer delivering nutrition meals through the Colonial Club. I teach Sunday School and volunteer in our church nursery. I have a range of opportunities to put my creative artist side to good use.
Advice to Anybody Thinking of Taking Classes
My advice to any one that has wanted to learn martial arts but for one reason or another has been hesitant –
DO IT! YOU WON’T REGRET IT! I started when I was 55 years old – had not considered myself an athlete, but with perseverance and trust in Mr Koster, I continue to enhance my physical and mental strength.
Advice to the Novice Martial Artist
Set goals, focus on being your best, be open to learning, fight off being discouraged, and don’t give up. Experience the sometimes highs and lows of learning. You must be patient with yourself. Learning new skills takes time and practice, lots and lots of practice. You will begin to flow from one move to another because of muscle memory. Enjoy the results of your practice because then it is fun - it is good!
