2009 EVENT PHOTOS


The Staff at Karate America Mixed Training Systems invites you to experience our year.  Below is information on some of the events we participated in over the course of 2009. We are invited to participate in many community events which are always alot of fun. 

We also host a Cooperative Skills Seminar which has a Family Fitness component.  As members of Dane County Healthy Communities and Shape Up Sun Prairie Coalition we are committed to offering excellent fitness program, encourage healthy eating and healty/active lifestyles.

KIDS EXPO
ALLIANT ENERGY CENTER

Master Koster and his team presented a demonstration that represented the mixed martial arts system.  The team also covered an instruction floor booth and a balloon breaking booth where kids could win big balloons and headbands.

September 18th we had our 2nd Cooperative Skills Seminar and Family  Fitness Workshop.  The Family Fitness is free and open to the public.  It is our commitment to the Shape-Up Sun Prairie Coalition.

Each year we are invited to participate in the Sacred Hearts Fall Festival.  Our students put on a 45 minute presentation for attendees.

The Sun Prairie Park Crawl is a community event which encourages families to get out and participate in fun activities at the local parks.  The day winds up with an event at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. 

We had a booth set up to promote our award winning fitness program that was recognized by the Public Health Department of Dane County and Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin.

August of each year we are invited to particpate in the annual Sun Prairie Corn Festival Parade which takes place on  Thursday to kick off festivities. 

On either a Saturday or Sunday we give a 30-minute demo of what our award-winning program has to offer.

In August 2009 we had our first annual family picnic at Orfan Park.  We had an excellent turn out and alot of good food.

Each July we participate in the annual RELAY FOR LIFE. This event takes place on a Friday night at the Sun Prairie High School track.  

It is always an honor to be invited to participate in an event that recognizes the trials of local families.

In May 2009 eleven students tested for their 1st to 3rd degree black belts.  They had 8-weeks of intense training from mid-March to mid-May.  They had their final test on May 17, 2009.

June 20, 2009 We were invited to participate in the 2009 Cannery Square Block Party.  We presented a 30-minute demonstration and we also hosted a dunk tank.  Funds raised for the dunk tank generated funds for our non-profit scholarship program.
